Storage Options
Our unique storage architecture uses many, independent, small block device pools distributed across the network, connected in the top of rack switches for maximum performance and minimum latency.
Server storage
- Spindle disk-backed block storage service, built for a good capacity-to-performance ratio.
Data Lake HDFS storage
- Affordable, scale-out distributed file system built for capacity. It powers our DataLab. There is no charge for IOPs.
Network
Bigstep charges for traffic and for the IP space allocated.
Public IPv4 subnets
- The network, broadcast and gateway IP addresses are also included in the IP address utilization count.
IPv4 on-demand:
$2.13 / 30 days

FAQ's
Included in all plans monitoring & alerts, cloud firewalls, 99.99% uptime SLA, 24/7 world-class support and more.
How much time does it take to provision and deprovision a server?
+It takes around 5 minutes to provision a server and a few seconds to deprovision it.
Is this really on demand? How does it work?
+Yes, 100% on demand, you can provision and automate physical servers just like VMs for instance to autoscale kubernetes clusters etc.
If I use 100% of the time in a month do I get the sustained usage discounts automatically applied to my bill?
+No. If you know you are going to be using the servers constantly you can create a "reservation" to receive the reduced monthly pricing.
Are there aditional charges for Iops for block storage traffic?
+No. The only charge related to block storage traffic is disk space allocated measured every hour.
For the SolidStorage or DiskStorage do I get charged for the used on the drive?
+The charge will apply to the allocated space which is the amount selected in the infrastructure editor regardless of the actual usage on the drive.
Is there any minimum storage allocated per server?
+No. We have instances which have locally installed drives marked as such. You can boot the instance using only the local drives and no block storage need to be allocated.
Can I stop a managed services contract after 3 months?
+It depends. For regular Managed Services If you use on demand servers and stop them mid-contract the managed services agreement will stil be available but will carry no aditional charge. For Advanced Managed Services even if you stop all servers the minimum charge will still be due until the end of the 12 months contract.
